Overview:

We are a growing company with a lot of stories to tell and information to deliver, and we need someone to help us do it well. The purpose of this role is to develop and execute an effective content marketing strategy across various social platforms to drive traffic, engagement, and leads.

You’ll be part of a small but mighty team of designers and strategic marketers responsible for shaping our brand and fueling our sales pipeline. Together you will strategize, create, and publish content our stakeholders want to read about.

The person in this role should have previous experience in content marketing – developing a calendar, writing, creating, and getting it onto our platforms.

Essential Functions

  • Creating written content (blog posts, white papers, newsletters, etc)
    • Write finished pieces based on outlines, and creating original pieces based on research and interviews.
  • Developing our LinkedIn presence
    • Planning, writing, designing posts developed to be useful within the platform
    • Editorial mindset that identifies what kind of content our buyer personas engage with
  • Reporting and analysis
    • Providing insights on what is happening on our website and social media platforms. What is working, what hasn’t worked.
  • Gaining knowledge and expertise about our business, industry, and audiences
    • Relevant topics for us include cold chain shipping, packaging, sustainability, food, and pharmaceuticals.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years experience in content marketing, with emphasis on content creation, including long form, to drive engagement and sales.
  • Social media: Experience managing a brand’s social presence, especially LinkedIn.
  • Education: college degree preferred.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communications skills.
  • Analytics: Experience with Google Analytics and other platforms to assess activity

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Wordpress, able to develop and post articles to our site
  • Experience with marketing and CRM platforms, specifically Hubspot and Salesforce
  • Graphic design experience, particularly the Adobe Creative suite
  • Industry experience: D2C brands, food, pharma, sustainability, packaging
  • Lives in Richmond, VA or Holt, MI
