About the Role

This is a freelance/contract position. As Rho's Video Editor, you'll be a key component of our Marketing team, owning video editing and deliverables. We’re looking for a technically skilled, professional editor who is also a creative storyteller at heart to drive edits from ingest to delivery. Reporting to our Brand and Creative Manager and collaborating with our product and design teams, you'll be in charge of data managing and editing captivating, out-of-the-box videos that clearly convey and elevate our brand's narrative toward our primary audience. Your responsibilities will stretch over the entire landscape of post-production, which includes data management, editing brand films, short documentaries, product videos and press releases, creating motion graphics, as well as executing audio editing and color grading. Your comprehensive post skills will not only result in compelling content but also bolster Rho’s video marketing presence.


  • In partnership with the Brand and Creative Director, craft engaging, relevant, and innovative video projects to resonate across diverse platforms such as YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter, and other platforms we may explore.
  • Take charge of the entire post-production process, from editing and color correction to sound design and rendering, ensuring the specific content needs of both short-form and long-form videos are met.
  • Ingest and log footage post-shoot, maintaining an organized post database. Review raw footage to establish a post workflow and identify key story/messaging beats.
  • Refine audio by leveling tracks and incorporating music, sound effects, and voiceovers.
  • Work closely with the Brand and Creative Director and other internal teams to ensure content alignment, legal compliance, coherence, and strategic relevance, while projecting Rho's efficacy in helping finance teams control spend and automate operations.
  • Optimize exports for different channels with an awareness of aspect ratios, file sizes and social platform UI elements.
  • Collaborate with Graphic Designer to implement brand elements in video projects and assist with video shoots when needed.
  • Pursue continual creative improvement, implementing feedback while independently spearheading ways to enhance our edits.


  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a video editor role, preferably in the SaaS or Fintech industries
  • Demonstrable track record of editing compelling video content that drives views and engagement on various social platforms, along with a strong portfolio or demo reel to showcase such work
  • Experience with modern production tools and software such as Adobe Suite (Premiere Pro, Audition, After Effects) and DaVinci Resolve
  • Strong understanding of the social media landscape and how video content engages audiences
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to drive video edits and engage with team members and other departments
  • Comfortable with part-time in-office culture, located in the Soho neighborhood of New York City

Our people are our most valuable asset. This is a freelance/contract opportunity with the expectation of approximately 20-35 hours worked per week, depending on current projects and initiatives. The hourly rate is between $40-$50 per hour. The compensation may vary depending on relevant experience, skills, geographic location, and business needs.
