The Team

You’ll have the opportunity to become a valuable member of an agile product development team within our engineering department. Each team is full-stack, 3-4 engineers in size, and supported by our experts in product development, design, quality assurance, and devops. In this dynamic environment, you'll have the chance to contribute anywhere in our product platform. Our teams and engineers enjoy autonomy in deploying changes, thanks to our robust continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) tools. A growing suite of automated tests ensures you can deploy safely. We automatically set up temporary cloud environments based on pull requests, so our developers can see their changes in action without having to wait in line. The Role

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Full Stack Software Developer to help build the future of our platform. We are looking for a candidate with proficiency with Ruby, Ruby on Rails, AWS, PostgreSQL to help build innovative SaaS solutions for law firms. You will author elegant code and make a visible, direct impact on a fast-paced engineering team.

In this role, you will develop user features, refactor existing code to scale with our growing user base, and collaborate with the team to discover creative solutions to meet the needs of the market. You will also have the opportunity to build and improve components of the application’s front and backend to ensure it is robust, reusable, and easy to maintain.

What You’ll Do

• Develop new user-facing features using React.js / Ruby on Rails / GraphQL / PostgreSQL
• Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
• Translate requirements, designs, and wireframes into high-quality code
• Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
• Fix bugs that may arise and prevent them from happening again

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years experience as a Backend Developer
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
• Strong proficiency in Ruby, experience with Rails
• Thorough understanding of modern React.js and its core principles
• You should be able to work independently with little supervision
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL
• Proficient with ES6+
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with GraphQL is a plus
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Tokens
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
• Ability to comprehend business requirements, translate them into technical requirements, and implement them
• Proficient with Unix, CLI, Git
• A love for unit and integration tests
• Excellent communication skills
• Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fluid startup environment
• Ruby on Rails, Rspec, Redis, Sidekiq, GraphQL, Java with Springboot, and cloud infra experience (AWS, CI, Docker)
