Vast is looking for exceptional talent to join our Spring 2024 Internship Program.
Responsibilities will vary depending on each intern’s area of expertise. We are now interviewing candidates for the following:
- ECLSS - Environmental Control and Life Support Systems
- Human Systems
- Thermal Control Hardware
- GNC Hardware
- Power/Avionics
Basic Qualifications:
- Qualified candidates must be enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s degree program from an accredited college or university in mechanical engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or other engineering discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to work onsite in Long Beach, CA
- 30+ hours of weekly availability
- Attention to detail
- Engineering problem solving capabilities
- Basic knowledge of engineering and equipment
- Prior knowledge of analysis tools
- Prior programming experience
- Application of technical skills outside of the classroom (examples include: extracurricular projects, volunteering, personal projects, laboratory research, or prior internship/work experience)
- Ability to collaborate across different teams
- Self-directed with a positive attitude and team spirit
ITAR REQUIREMENTS:
To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
