Vast is looking for a CNC Mill Machinist, Set-up/Operator to support the machining and development of our products: E-2 Engine, Orbiter, and Haven-1. In this role you will manufacture parts from billet material and additively manufactured hardware. Vast utilizes 3 and 5 axis mills, Gantry Mills, and manual mills.

Shift hours are as follows:

First Shift: 6AM-3:30PM
Second Shift: 3PM-12:30AM

Responsibilities:

Read and interpret CAD and CAM software and drawings
Help with ordering of tooling
Work with tooling suppliers to determine the best tool for the job
Ramp parts from FAI to production
Reduce machine time per part
Increase number of parts per cycle
Procure tooling necessary for jobs
Effectively work as a team and pass on workload to the following shift

Minimum Qualifications:

10+ years of CNC machining experience and 5+ years of programming experience
High school diploma or GED

Preferred Skills and Experiences:

Working knowledge of GD&T
Familiarity with inspection tools
Knowledge of Gcode
Strong Mechanical aptitude
Ability to deburr all parts to ensure quality parts
Strong oral and written communication
College or Trade school certificate
Working with AM parts
Experience with performing first article inspection

Additional Qualifications:

Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
