As our Claims Manager, your mission will be to manage one of the most essential functions at Jetty. Our Claims team interacts with both members and real estate partners. Our Partners rely on us to help ensure their claims are comprehensive and compliant, and to help them deliver on their financial goals; our Members contact us when they are at their most critical time of need. You’ll be responsible for the Jetty experience in all of these cases, as well as developing and managing our Claims team. Representing Jetty as an MGA, you will also work with all of our financial partners to communicate critical metrics and strategies for adjusting and managing more complex claims interactions. This role will primarily manage adjusters handling bond claims, with some handling of Jetty Protect (renter’s insurance claims) as well.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage Claims team leads and individual contributors as appropriate, including offering learning and/or coaching opportunities and ensuring we have appropriate staff levels at all times
- Monitor team performance metrics to ensure the team meets or exceeds established goals; ensure proper training and continuously monitor training information to update as needed
- Develop and iterate on process and procedures
- Provide 2nd level escalation support for both Partners and Members; manage communication/escalations/procedures cross-functionally
- Serve as the subject matter expert for all insurance policies and procedures, and ensure adherence to all company process and procedures
- Lead team meetings and relay all relevant information
- Work cross-functionally with our customer experience, claims support, and recovery teams to ensure our customer experience is second to none
Experience & Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in claims, preferably for a fintech company - bond claim experience is a plus but not required
- 3+ years of claims supervisory/management experience is required, with the ability to coach teams
- Experience with liability claims is required
- Background in providing excellent customer service
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Compensation for this role:
- The annual base salary range for this role is $80-100k and may be inclusive of multiple career levels
- The offer package for this role will also include stock option equity
- Individual offer decisions within this range will be based on multiple factors, including your level of experience, relevant skills, and balancing internal equity to ensure fair and equitable compensation across similar roles
