Havenly

Havenly

Marketing & Communications
Denver, CO, USA
Posted on Saturday, June 22, 2024

At Havenly Inc., we believe that everyone deserves a home filled with beauty, personality, and meaning. Founded in 2014, we've grown into the #1 interior design service in the country. Together with our family of best-in-class home decor brands (Interior Define, The Citizenry, The Inside, and St. Frank), Havenly Inc. is reinventing the way people design and shop for their homes, making quality, well-crafted furniture and professional interior design accessible for all.

We’re seeking a creative wordsmith with a flair for storytelling and a passion for home and design to join our dynamic team. As our Senior Copywriter, you will own all organic and paid copy needs across our portfolio of brands. From crafting compelling email campaigns to creating captivating Meta ads, your words will shape our brand voice and drive audience engagement – and brand affinity.

Sure, we’re a little biased, but here’s why the gig is so great:

  • We’re assembling a stellar team and need a copywriting genius to help execute (and elevate) our creative vision.
  • There’s always something new happening at Havenly Inc., so we run hard and move fast. The best part of that? Your days are as interesting as they are inspiring.
  • Rockstars and go-getters make up our team, so if that’s you as well… you’ll feel right at home. And it makes the hard work way more exhilarating.
  • We’re redefining how people design and shop for home: making it accessible, simple, and fun. Shift culture with us.

You’ll be reporting directly to Havenly’s Brand Manager, under our Director of Design & Content. Our offices are based in Denver, CO and Dallas, TX. While it’s a plus to be in one of these locations, with a hybrid in-office schedule of 2 days weekly, this role can be based anywhere in the U.S.

What You’ll Do:

The ideal candidate has a background in retail, e-commerce, campaign, and product copy. Bonus points for working with a leading, digitally-charged brand that’s paving the way in its respective industry. Here are just some of the projects you’ll be charged with:

  • Lead Brand Voice: Bring to life our brand voice, crafting inspired copy that resonates with our target audience, drives engagements, amplifies our presence, and sets new standards in consumer marketing.
  • Drive Email Engagement: Own the day-to-day of email campaigns, producing fresh, thoughtful, on-brief copy for 3-5 weekly campaigns per brand, including tentpole initiatives, promo creative, and evergreen content.
  • Boost Paid Media Impact: Support paid media efforts – both digital, direct mail, and print – with clear, concise, and compelling copy that highlights each brand’s distinct value propositions and benefits.
  • Power Key Site Initiatives: Collaborate with Marketing & Ecommerce teams to develop copy for key site initiatives and collection launches.
  • Tell Product Stories: Collaborate closely with the Product Design team to learn the ins and outs of new designs and craft compelling product messages and launches.
  • Shape Brand Narratives: Internalize the content strategy for each brand and help conceptualize and craft new, inspired brand stories that break through the clutter and engage audiences.
  • Enhance Customer Connection: Develop a deep understanding of our audience and leverage insights to iterate on copy that drives engagement and loyalty.
  • Collaborate for Consistency: Partner closely with cross-functional teams—brand, social, product marketing, ecommerce—to ensure our voice is consistent and compelling across all touchpoints.
  • Refine Processes for Scalability: Work with Creative Operations to streamline and scale copy processes, optimizing productivity and ensuring consistency.
  • Leverage AI Tools: Utilize AI copy tools (where applicable) to enhance efficiency and scale our copy processes without compromising on creativity.
  • Lead a Copywriting Network: As we scale our portfolio, there's potential to grow into managing a network of contract copywriters, ensuring alignment with our brand voice and maintaining high standards of creativity and effectiveness.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience: Bachelor’s degree required, along with 7+ years of copywriting experience and a strong digital portfolio featuring campaign, email, paid, and e-commerce copy
  • Industry Expertise: Preferably from a leading consumer brand or agency background within the retail, home, or lifestyle sectors, demonstrating adaptability in evolving markets.
  • Creativity: A knack for crafting engaging, on-brand copy that tells a story and drives engagement.
  • Strategic Insight: Deep understanding of brand strategy and priorities of communication, as well as comfort using data and insights to optimize copy performance across channels.
  • Versatility: Ability to seamlessly switch between different brand voices and write for various formats and channels.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills and a meticulous eye for detail. No typos or grammar slips here.
  • Agility Under Pressure: Ability to write quickly and efficiently on tight deadlines, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Digital Marketing Acumen: Knowledge of SEO, SEM, AI and online marketing strategies to optimize copy for digital platforms.
  • Responsive to Feedback: Receptive to direction and adept at applying feedback to creative work, refining copy to meet strategic objectives.
  • Collaboration: A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Self-Starter: A proactive individual who takes initiative and can manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for Home Decor: A genuine interest in home decor and interior design, with a keen eye for style.

Additional Details:

  • This is a full-time exempt position headquartered in Denver, CO or Dallas, TX, working a hybrid schedule. Strong remote candidates will also be considered.
